Project Duration 5 Weeks – Circa £75,000.00
This project involved the total internal demolition of an existing school kitchen and associated stores and wc’s ect and we-wiring and installing new flooring, ceilings wall cladding, sanitaryware and kitchen equipment ect.

The timescale on this project was extremely tight meaning that all works had to be finished within the 5-week summer holidays. We had to be mindful of students and staff during this time as although the school was not in full operation various clubs and staff were still on-site training and participating in school clubs.

We erected hoardings to segregate contractors and students, ensured all senior staff were aware of our plans and invited them to inspect the work at various stages to give them confidence that we would meet the required dates.

Fortnightly meetings would take place between ourselves and the client’s team where we would discuss programme and possible variations. A running final account was produced meaning the client could always see the current projected status of the contract costs. This would be updated throughout the contract to reflect the current status.
